Formed from a arbitrary density of pixels at varying abstraction levels in reality. As such, they can range in size from the subatomic to grains of sand. Generally, the larger they are the more unstable they become and risk breaking into their own graph of even smaller nodes, a process known as reconstitution. (see tangled hierarchy) Like the pixel, nodes are invoked by sequencing and they demarcate the physical coordinates in space-time of an area, object, or entity being affected by said sequence.

For example an object affected by some form of levitation, would have all of it mass highlighted by the underlying nodes.

Info

Nodes and graphs are important in defining the particular aesthetic associated with magic. In-world, magic is generally considered to not have a color, shape, or sound (though some magi claim the can detect these attributes (see sentinel)). There are exceptions to this regarding infusion in which technology is highly engineered by magic. In these rare cases, nodes are known to becomes visible and sequences can create certain audible phenomenon.

Nodes can undergo reconstitution.
